Joshua 1:8-9

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Throughout life, we often face various challenges: the burdens of daily living, work pressure, and the anxiety that comes with uncertainty about the future. As Christians, we frequently talk about having "faith in God," but putting this into practice is not always easy. In difficult times, I find myself pondering what faith truly means. Is it the assurance that God will fulfill our expectations, or is it a steadfast belief in His goodness regardless of the outcome?

I remember a low point in my career. After more than ten years in my field, I began to consider a career change due to certain events. However, thoughts of my age and the financial investment required filled me with inner turmoil. I prayed continuously for God's guidance until one day I found encouragement in a passage from the Bible of Joshua. This scripture gave me the courage to step into a new field, only to discover that it wasn’t the right fit for me. At that moment, God wonderfully opened a new path for me, allowing me to return to my original profession in a better state and in a different way. Looking back on this journey, I realized that God was not trying to prevent my efforts but was instead expanding my horizons through this process.

This experience taught me that we often limit God's infinite grace with our finite thinking. Although my career change did not succeed, the entire process reinforced my confidence in God's presence. He allowed me the freedom to explore and, at the right moment, guided me in the right direction. What seemed like a detour actually brought me into a closer relationship with God, a clearer understanding of my abilities, and greater courage to face the unknown. God can place opportunities before us, and when we are willing to let Him intervene in our lives and adhere to His truths, He will make our lives richer.
